Together with affiliated companies Hirsch and Hirsch Ruckstuhl, Hirsch Performance has a history of success that goes back for almost 40 years. Originally established in 1967 as a Saab dealership, the organisation has grown to become a Saab competence centre with activities that stretch far beyond the borders of Switzerland.
1967
Georg Hirsch (senior) takes over the Saab dealership in St. Gallen.
1987
Twenty years later the current Hirsch AG is formed with René Hirsch as CEO.
1987
The new company Carline AG is formed, specialising in bespoke car production. This later becomes Hirsch Performance AG.
1993
The foundations for the current core competence of Hirsch Performance are laid – the development of technologies for performance upgrades for Saab vehicles.
1996
Hirsch AG and Hirsch Performance AG acquire a new head office at Zürcher Strasse 202 in St. Gallen, offering a modern and effective infrastructure.
2000
With the establishment of Hirsch Ruckstuhl AG with its head office Kloten, the Hirsch Group take a strategic step towards the Zurich area.
2002
Under the brand name "Saab Performance by Hirsch", Saab Automobile AB in Trollhättan and Hirsch Performance AG seal the official and worldwide exclusive partnership for Saab performance upgrades.
2003
The Hirsch Group wins the "Innovation Award" of the Swiss Automotive Trade Organisation for its innovative and successful customer relationship management.
2005
To handle the growth of Hirsch Performance on the international market more space is required. New premises very close to the Hirsch Group headquarters are acquired at Zürcher Strasse 204f. The company is awarded 2nd place in the "KMU Primus" award for SME's in recognition of its contribution to the economy of Eastern Switzerland.
2006
Hirsch Performance introduces ISO9001:2000 quality management.
